What You Need to Know
KTV — karaoke television — is Manila’s most popular nightlife format. Unlike western karaoke bars where you sing publicly, Manila KTV operates entirely in private rooms booked by the hour. Your group gets a room with a large screen, full sound system, wireless microphones, and table service. It’s social, private, and you can control the entire experience.
For first-time visitors, KTV can be confusing. Pricing varies wildly depending on the venue type (standard, premium, hostess-optional), the area (Makati vs BGC vs Pasay), and whether you order food. The baseline cost is a room rate per hour. Everything else is add-on. NOIR has mapped pricing at 40+ KTV venues so you never walk in blind.

Room rate that doesn’t include minimum spend: always ask "is this the room rate only, or does it include minimum consumption?"

FAQ
No. Most KTV venues in Manila — especially in BGC and Quezon City — operate hostess-free. In P. Burgos, some venues offer hostesses as an optional add-on. Always confirm before entering. NOIR listings note which venues have this service.
Standard rooms fit 4–6 comfortably. Premium rooms handle 8–12. VIP suites can accommodate up to 20. Book the right room size — overcrowding ruins the acoustics.
In NOIR-verified venues, yes. A known scam is serving local liquor in premium-branded bottles. In credible venues, ask for the sealed bottle to be opened in front of you or order by the drink from a visible menu.
Smart casual is the standard. Premium venues in BGC may require nicer clothing. P. Burgos is more relaxed. No dress code enforcement at most Manila KTV.
Budget (₱1,500/hr room): ₱4,500 + food/drinks ≈ ₱7,000–10,000 total. Mid-range (₱3,000/hr): ₱9,000 + food ≈ ₱15,000–20,000 total. Always confirm minimum spend before booking.
