Step by Step: Your First JTV Visit
Step one: Ask to see the complete rate sheet before entering. Any legitimate JTV will produce it immediately. Step two: Review the rate sheet. Calculate what two hours will cost — table charge + lady charge + your drinks + lady drinks + 22 to 24 percent tax. Step three: Enter, be seated, wait for your lady companion. Step four: Introduce yourself, order drinks, let conversation develop. Step five: Ask for a running total at the end of each hour.
The Lady Drink System
Lady drinks (LDs) are drinks you order for your lady companion, charged at 200 to 500 PHP each. In most legitimate venues, the lady's drink is diluted or non-alcoholic — standard practice enabling ladies to work multiple sessions. You are not obligated to order LDs continuously. One or two per hour is standard. Staff or ladies who pressure constant ordering are a sign of a lower-quality venue.
Good JTV vs. Bad JTV
Good JTV: rate sheet visible at entrance, professional non-aggressive staff, clean maintained interior, ladies who are genuinely sociable, bill that matches the rate sheet. Bad JTV: reluctance to show rates, constant pressure for special drinks, staff who become unfriendly when you decline additional spending, bill with charges not discussed in advance. The rate sheet is the first and most reliable filter.
